A Senda Escura
A Senda Escura
In this art house project, we will discover the extraordinary character of Rosalía de Castro, one of the first promoters of feminism in Spanish cultural life, decades before that idea could be shared by others. She was the most relevant poet of her generation, one of the greatest of all Spanish literature, but her real character was hidden under an iconic image of a sensitive, loving, subdued woman. She was not what the icon pretends. In this poetic portrait we will meet her, entering in her inner world, with the help of digital VFX digital techniques. The film will be directed by Susana Sotelo, well experienced as editor for many years in the industry and director of the documentary film Querida Gina. The script under development is written by Héctor Carré, winner of Mestre Mateo best script, Jules Verne novel price of Edicions Xerais de Galicia, Agustín Gonzalez international theater price, and winner of Daniel Domingez price for the best Galician film script.
The film is under development with a grant of AGADIC (Axencia Galega das Industrias Culturais)

In the early hours of the morning
and with no other witnesses, Tesa and her boyfriend Ernesto accidentally record
a traffic accident in which the heir to the crown fatally runs over a passerby.
Before the police arrive, an escort takes responsibility for the accident and
the heir is removed from the scene. Néstor Varela, a young and inexperienced
journalist, helps Tesa and Ernesto in their intention to publish the video.
When they try to sell it to a major media outlet, their intentions reach the
ears of the Minister of the Interior, Pepa Salcedo. She was the one who made
the decision to falsify the identity of the driver and to avoid the
repercussions of the scandal on her political career, she assigns a CNI team
under the command of Toni Capelán with the official mission of neutralizing the
threat that the video poses to the crown. After a setback in events, Tesa
returns to claim the help of Nestor who comes dazzled by the importance of the
exclusive and the attraction he feels for her. Pepa presses for the threat to
disappear as soon as possible and those who try to discover the truth understand
that their lives are at stake. Toni Capelán does not hesitate to act forcefully
to safeguard the security of the state, but in this mission he has the feeling
of being used in a spurious way and faces an inner conflict, doubting whether
he should act with blind obedience.
